Breeze Blocks

The house is moving right along. Cinder blocks are called breeze blocks in Britain and so this is my homage to Britain (since I like things British and we now have cinder blocks on our house). I hope though that it is not TOO BREEZY having those cinder blocks as a solid wall. Although I thought it was 9 billion degrees in Austin today and 10 billion degrees looking at the house in Agave.

See breeze blocks in living room, 2 small windows are the bathroom and utility room on the lower level. Big foundation is evident and gets bigger the further you go back.

Looking out the front doors before they are installed.

Car port, dining room window and side walkway.

I like the little walkway to the kitchen from the carport. It even has a cover due to the overhang of the roof. I can wave at the nieghbors from here as I am sure a house will be build right close to ours!

I do want to appologize the neighbors across the street that we may be blocking your view of trees. Hopefully our house will be cool and you wont mind seeing that and there will still be some trees to the side.

awwwwwww, you are so sweet to apologize for view blocking...we all know what we have will change or be gone from certain windows as the houses pop up! Nothing to apologize for...just means our hood is getting DONE and that benefits us all! We figured much of our side view could be gone if the 3 story appears in between the FAB and yours...that's why we picked a house with a back view. We'd rather have the neighbors than the trees...

Your house really looks more and more awesome each day!! And the slant of the roof next to the slant of the roof of the white FAB is a pretty neat look. I think you'll have gorgeous green views out of your windows with the trees so close...we look forward to you guys getting IN and I think it will be sooner than we all thought!!
It looks AWESOME!
Congrats! And sorry if we missed you yesterday...we went out for pizza but I kept an eye out to say howdy prior to that if you came by.

We also are going to lose the side views when the other houses are build not to mention six months of construction sounds. We are hoping that they change their mind about the three story monstrosity they want to put next to us. Having a mostly private back yard is a bonus.

We meet with Nelson on Thursday and he told us the windows should be in by then so construction is moving quick.

We were running so late yesterday and had so much to, we did not stop by. By the time we were finished it was 8pm and we did not even get to see the movie we wanted to go to.

ah, we were driving around the 'hood with Marv and Chris about that time anyway. They are good tour guides...

I really like the long walkway to the left of your house that the roof slants over. Very nice look. You have a gorgeous framed "live picture" in your livingroom I see...It looks like a painting of trees as you walk in since your window is right up close to the trees. Awesome!

(I took a tour over the weekend when I was ALLEGEDLY illegally dumping a small box in the workman's bin next to you.)

Julie did say there isn't really a PLAN to put the monste 3 story house there, but that it's noted that it fits on that lot.

Lets hope they pull a 5416 Agatha again and, instead, put a house that's smaller on a lot that's "too big" and realize it later and get mad at themselves, as we understand they did with us.

yeppers...you are gettin it built at wharp speed compared to what was happening with our house. They've really sped up. I think we had a slab and nothing else for about 3 months. Seems like it anyway.
