Agave, Agave everywhere and not a drop to drink

Have you ever brought something or thought about something and then see it everywhere you go? Well that seems to be happening with Agave. We never heard of Agave until we checked it out late last year and now there seem to be a flood of info out there. In the last week I have seen it in Dwell Magazine, The Austin Chronicle, and Austin Monthly.

The Austin Monthly one was really interesting because there was an article about green parties at a future neighbor’s house. They don’t mention Agave in the article (even thought there is one in the back of the mag) but you can tell its Agave by the fence and architecture.

The area around Agave is morphing and taking shape. While checking on the construction this weekend (we will post pix later) we decided to explore a bit and we drove down 51st Street. Not that far from Agave (about 3 miles as the crow flies) is the Muller Development. A lot is going on there and we never realized how close it was to Agave. For those not in Austin they are building a huge Children’s Hospital there as well as commercial/residential buildings. If you flew into Austin years ago it was an airport. You can still see the tower but I digress. One of the cool things is that there will be a bunch of stores and restaurants there. I even found one that seems friendly to us leaf eaters.

Also for those that are curious here is some info about the Strip Mall construction that is on 969. It looks like they have some interesting plans even though it was due in 2007.

1. I have a formal obnoxious request. Because I have funky vision with halos after 5 eye surgeries (long story...dont go to Dr. Tylock for lasik) I can't read the blue on green so everything that is linked to another site and shows up in blue...can't make it out. You dont have to change it...you just have to explain it to me later when I see you in person. :-)

2. THATS BECAUSE IM DOING THE MARKETING NOW. I am the sorceress providing you with Agave being banged over your head so I am ever so happy to read this post!! But I don't do it alone,I just manage it with input from Jenna and Dave our wonderful graphic designer. Team effort.

Have you driven around the lake yet? (you may have already mentioned this but the link was blind to me) If not, do so...it's right by our house and very pretty.

Looks like we'll have some of our favorite neighbors in soon!!!

We try to mess with the color blind as well. The next site will be red and green.. or will it? ;)

I assume you mean Decker Lake. I have not been out there in years and not since we up a contact on Agave. I guess we should check it out next time we are out there.
